For publishers Political Trivia.
Put Daily Trivia on your site
Three questions about American politics every day, four answers each, and the record behind every one. The embed is text only, so it loads light and sits in any column. Free to embed, new at midnight Eastern, no account needed to play.
The embed
Paste this where you want the game. It is compact: about 400 pixels tall in a normal column, never much more than 500 on a phone. The frame sizes itself to the game, so nothing scrolls inside it.
<div class="politicaltrivia-embed" data-game="dailytrivia"></div> <script async src="https://politicaltrivia.com/embed.js"></script>
If your platform strips scripts, a plain frame works too. It has a fixed height, so pick one that suits your column.
<iframe src="https://politicaltrivia.com/dailytrivia/embed/" title="Daily Trivia from Political Trivia" style="width:100%;height:520px;border:0" loading="lazy"></iframe>
Options
Both are attributes on the div. Neither is required.
| data-via | Optional. Readers who click through from your embed are filed under your site’s domain automatically. Set this to use another name, for example data-via="gazette-politics". |
|---|---|
| data-max-width | Caps the frame’s width in pixels. Without it the frame fills its container. |
Live
This is the embed itself, running today’s edition.
Scores from an embed are kept in the reader’s browser. Readers who want a record and streaks across devices are pointed to politicaltrivia.com, where they can sign in.
Terms, in brief
The embed is free for news sites, newsletters, schools and anyone else who wants it. Keep the Political Trivia line and links as they are, do not frame it inside something that hides them, and do not present the questions as your own. The questions, answers and sources are ours; the record they cite is public. We may change the game, and we will keep this address working. If you run it, we would like to hear from you.
